Mission Autopilot

Plan Once. Fly Hands-Off.

Waypoint and route automation for fully automatic mission flight. Plan the route once and takeoff, navigation and the mission profile run autonomously on the AAD flight stack — no operator stick time required.

Key Advantage

Plan the route once and the aircraft flies it end to end — takeoff to mission profile — freeing the operator to run the mission instead of the sticks.

Plan It Once, Fly It Hands-Off

From route plan to autonomous flight — the AAD flight stack executes the whole mission profile on its own.

  1. Plan Route

Lay out waypoints and the mission profile

  2. Upload Waypoints

Mission loaded onto the flight stack

  3. Automatic Takeoff

    Hands-off launch and climb-out

  4. Autonomous Mission

Navigation and profile run on their own

What Mission Autopilot Does

Hands-off mission flight on the AAD stack.

Waypoint Navigation

Flies an ordered set of waypoints automatically, with no operator input between them.

Route Planning

Lay out and edit the full route and mission profile before launch.

Automatic Takeoff & Flight

Hands-off launch, climb-out and en-route navigation.

Hands-Off Execution

The mission profile runs autonomously — no stick time required.

Runs on the AAD Flight Stack

Executes on BattleCore FC7, sharing one architecture with perception and terminal guidance.

Integrates With Wield-AI & AIMLOCK

Hand off from a planned route to onboard detection and vision-locked terminal approach.

Flight Modes

A full set of autonomous modes on the AAD flight stack — plan the behaviour once and the aircraft handles the rest.

Waypoint Missions

Fly an ordered set of waypoints automatically — takeoff, route and profile, with no input between points.

Geofencing

Define cylinder or polygon boundaries, an altitude ceiling and a max range — the aircraft is kept inside the box.

Position Hold / Loiter

Hold a fixed point and altitude hands-off, riding out wind until the next command.

Return-to-Launch

Climb to a safe altitude and fly back to the launch point — on command or automatically as a failsafe.

GPS-Denied / Anti-Spoof

On a lost or spoofed fix, the aircraft drops satellite dependence and flies on inertial / visual reference instead of trusting a bad position.

Auto Takeoff & Land

Hands-off launch and climb-out, and a controlled automatic landing at the end of the mission.

Failsafes & Signal-Loss Actions

Pre-program what the aircraft does for every contingency — set the response before the mission, and it executes on its own.

Failsafes & Signal-Loss Actions
Control-Link (RC) LossConfigurable response — return-to-launch, loiter in place, or continue the mission to completion.
Telemetry / GCS LossCarry on with the planned mission, or return-to-launch — set per flight.
GPS Spoofing or LossSwitch to a GPS-independent automatic mode: hold position or continue the route without trusting a satellite fix.
Geofence BreachAutomatic action at the boundary — turn back, loiter at the edge, return-to-launch, or land.
Low BatteryReturn-to-launch or auto-land while a safe energy reserve remains.
Mission CompleteLoiter, return-to-launch, or auto-land as configured in the mission plan.

Where It's Deployed

Repeatable, planned flight across routine and contested missions.

ISR & Recon

Fly preset observation routes hands-off.

Survey & Patrol

Repeatable coverage of an area or perimeter.

Multi-Waypoint Missions

Complex routes with many sequential waypoints.

Pre-Planned Strike Routes

Fly a planned ingress, then hand off to AIMLOCK.

On the AAD Flight Stack

Mission Autopilot executes on BattleCore FC7, the flagship autopilot of the AAD stack with full ArduPilot support — so waypoint flight, perception and terminal guidance all share one architecture, fully onboard and air-gapped.
